Datuk Seri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir said DNex is also expanding the offering of its trade facilitation eServices with the introduction of business-to-business (B2B) initiatives that can contribute to the country’s digital economy push.

(DNeX) has secured the National Single Window (NSW) for Trade Facilitation contract for another three years through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd.
The government has approved the contract extension commencing Sept 1,2021 until Aug 31,2024.
Under the extension, Dagang Net will continue to provide six core eServices of the NSW for Trade Facilitation – eDeclare, eManifest, ePCO, ePermit, ePermitSTA and ePayment – in providing the trading community with connectivity to customs and relevant agencies for import and export document processing.
The company will also provide services for the Asean Single Window.
In a statement, DNeX group managing director and Dagang Net chairman Datuk Seri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir thanked the government, the Finance Ministry and the Customs Department for their continued confidence in the group.
“The contract extension is a strong testament to our strength and capabilities as a leading eServices provider in trade facilitation.
“DNeX remains committed to offering eServices that not only meet requirements of customers but also offer value that can help customers further improve their operations and grow their businesses, ” he said.

Dagang Net has been the operator of Malaysia’s NSW for Trade Facilitation since its launch in 2009. It has over 30 years of experience in terms of knowledge, expertise and operation know-how in offering eServices for trade facilitation.
In the same statement, DNeX said such a trade environment can help expedite cargo clearance process, reduce cost and time of doing business and contribute positively to the country’s trade efficiency and global competitiveness.
The NSW for Trade Facilitation is the backbone of DNeX’s trade facilitation business and has been a key contributor to the group’s financial performance of about RM90mil a year.
It is a one-stop system that links the trading community with relevant government agencies and various other trade and logistics parties for import and export activities.
Via this system, customs clearance procedures are simplified, electronic exchange of trade-related data is facilitated and costs of doing business are reduced.
DNeX was the third most active counter on Bursa Malaysia yesterday, closing 2 sen lower at 87 sen. Year-to-date, its share price has risen 295%.
