The new unit will be required to propose solutions to improve customs clearance
The Customs Authority plans to establish a new unit to investigate complaints from exporters about customs procedures, new customs boss El Shahat El Ghatwary said in a recent statement.
The new unit will be required to propose solutions to improve customs clearance and remove obstacles faced by exporters.
Earlier in May, the authority decided to bring back a long-dormant export council set up to administer a national export strategy.
The council will be charge of legislative and administrative policymaking aimed at driving export growth.
