TNETS was pleased to accept an invitation to participate as an exhibitor at the Singapore Logistics Association (SLA) Supply Chain Challenge finals and Careers Fair held at SIM University on July 21, 2014.
Aside from being able to inform and educate visitors from the various academic institutions on the careers available in trade compliance, the event was an opportunity for TNETS senior management to offer congratulations to participants in the challenge.
Commenting on the participants’ efforts, TNETS’ director Neil Johnson said “The quality of entries in the Supply Chain Challenge continues to improve year-on-year and we are delighted to be able to offer our support to the students and the Association.”
“Many of the students showed a keen interest in trade compliance matters. It’s becoming a critical area for shippers and forwarders alike with the proliferation of FTAs out there, and the resultant opportunities and challenges that they bring.”
What is the Supply Chain Challenge?
Supply Chain Challenge (SCC) is a pre-university level case competition opened to full-time students.
Organised by Singapore Logistics Association (SLA) and SIM University, SCC is designed to be a platform for students to experience the logistics industry and try their hands at real life supply chain issues.
Finalist teams get to be mentored by logistics professionals from a Partner SME for a period of 6 weeks – applying their logistics knowledge to understand a real-life challenge faced by the Partner SME and propose a feasible solution.
